The Heart Sound Recorder is a computer-based low risk general wellness monitor which uses the principles of auscultation to observe heart sounds. The heart's reaction to certain stressors, (i.e. chemical, nutritional and emotional), can be observed using this type of device.
RATE, RHYTHM, AND TONE
Certain types of heart stress can be monitored by seeing the RATE, RHYTHM, and TONE of the heart cycle on the graph.
- RATE- Your nervous system controls the RATE at which your heart beats. One side of your nervous system (sympathetic) manages your "fight or flight" responce and can accelerate your heart rate. The other side ) parasympathetic manages your "rest and digest" response and can slow your heart rate. You need a healthy balance between the two.
- RHYTHM- Your heart should show a specific work to rest ratio on the graph. Your heart should be resting twice as long as it is working. Observations are made to see if your heart is working too hard, or not working hard enough.
- TONE- Your heart is referring to the strength of the ventricles as they push blood through your body. The height and the width of the 'lub dub' sound your heart makes on the graph, shows how efficiently your heart is pushing blood through your body and refiling to prepare for the next cardiac cycle.
The response to informed suggestions can be monitored by observing changes of the frequency, ratio, amplitude and characteristics of the heart's waveform. Comparison graphs can help determine the effectiveness of actions taken to improve the quality of life.
As with any wellness device, recommendations for lifestyle changes implied by using this technology should be undertaken only with the guidance of a licensed physician, therapist, or holistic healthcare practitioner. The findings from this device can be used to support, but should not be used in place of, sound medical therapies and recommendations.
It is vital that your heart has the proper nutritional balance in order to keep the correct rate, rhythm and tone. Have your heart checked for these important factors with a quick evaluation with the Heart Sound Recorder.
The first group is patients who have heart problems. Though they are usually under excellent care, unfortunately western medicine does not look at the nutritional aspect of the heart very often. Nutritional support does not affect the current treatment in any way. However, by getting the proper nutrition to the heart, these patients start to see positive changes. The heart needs nutrition. By using whole food supplements, we see great results using the HSR. The use of synthetic supplements are shown by the HSR to not only have no positive effect but a negative effect.
The second group of patients that we see great results is every patient. If the heart is lacking nutrition, the body is also. By restoring the proper nutrition it affects the rest of the body as it also needs the nutrition that we are seeing on the HSR as lacking.
The third group is patients that want to be preventative. Fortunately, the HSR is somewhat a window into the future. By evaluating the graph, we can use whole food nutritional supplements to be preventative and keep the heart healthy.
